Wonderful Wyoming

Chris and I moved to Wyoming the beginning of May.  As I have already mentioned we really didn't have a plan.  Chris knew that he wanted to go back to Casper College in the fire science  to become a fireman but other than that we didn't know what we were doing.  We had no jobs and no place to live but we knew that we were supposed to come. So come we did.  It all worked out and I am so glad that we have moved here. I am now working at GEAR UP at Casper College and I LOVE my job.  I am a student success adviser and get to work closely with the students and mentor them to help them get into college.  It is so much fun!

Me and Chris have been having a lot of fun here in Casper.  We have been able to go camping in Casper Mountain which is beautiful.  We also got to go to the fair and rodeo.  It was Chris' first rodeo and he loved it.  The fair was so much fun and there was a free petting zoo in which me and a goat named orphan annie became very good friends.  Despite what people say, there really is a lot to do in Casper and I have really been loving it.  Here are some pictures of the wonderful times we've been having :)

Beautiful Casper Mountain

On the Ferris Wheel.  I love how happy Chris looks!

I really really really want a pet goat :)

Waiting for the Rodeo to start.  Excuse the frazzled look.  We had just been rained on.

Chris anxiously awaiting his first rodeo!

It was a great rodeo! We had so much fun.

Trip to Colorado

When Chris and I decided to move to Wyoming we didn't really have plan.  Neither of us had jobs, we didn't have an apartment and we really didn't know what we were doing.  We just knew that we should go to Casper so we did.  It was a rough first month trying to find jobs and get settled in. Since we had so much free time though we were able to take a trip to Colorado and see my dad.  We went over memorial day and we had so much fun!! We stayed very busy and tired my dad out very quickly :) We got to go on a walk on the trails and stop by where Chris had proposed to me.  We went to Red Rocks, had an outdoor movies and s'mores and went to the Denver Aquarium.  Ironically though we had to cut our trip shorter than planned because while we were in Denver I was contacted to have an interview with my now job.  Here are some pictures from our fun filled Colorado weekend.  It is great living close enough to Colorado that we can visit for weekends.

This is the spot that Chris proposed :) So cute

Can you see the toad?

Red Rocks

Dad and Chris raced each other down the stairs and back.  Chris won.

So we Graduated...

I am terrible at blogging.  I am constantly reminded this by my sister Lorie reminding me at least every weekly that I have still not blogged and she is sure that I have plenty to write about.  She is right.  I'm just lazy.  However, I do have TONS of things to share so for the next couple of weeks I will be trying to catch up on my life through my blog.  Please be patient with me :) I will be starting from farthest away and working up to most current.  So...
ME AND CHRIS GRADUATED!!!
Granted this happened back in December for me and in April for Chris, but we are still very excited about this! We decided not to do the whole walking thing.  It was really stressful all the way up to graduation and we were moving the same week as graduation so we decided to just dress up in caps and gowns and take pictures around campus.  We did this a day or two after graduation which turned out to be genius because there were absolutely no crowds! Andrew was my favorite part about taking the pictures because he felt the need to pose in all the pictures with us.  I'm very glad he did, he makes the pictures much cuter.  So here are some of the pictures we took.  Yay for no more school.  Except Chris is going back to Casper College, but more on that in later.

Andrew was very afraid of the Cougar.  He wouldn't let go of Chris,  It was very cute.

Andrew was really concerned that I was hurt because I was laying down and he had to make sure I was ok.

These are from the Tulip Festival

We also went to the Tulip festival around the same time when my dad came to visit.  It was BEAUTIFUL but a very long walk and I was exhausted afterwards. These are pictures from then.  :)
